Gary took the antlers this morning and did some rattling, they had a bunch of does come in.
Gary and Robert built a new stand in the Creek bed area behind the ranch, this is the area the bucks hide in every day and venture through. The trails in this area are all over. But no Luck with the bucks today.
As Robert was changing the battery for the camera they had a doe jump right by the stand.
The guys have been determined, But as we all know This is Hunting, The bucks are still evading the guys.
Sharen thought she heard a shot… we were hoping…
Kansas Farm Hunts are different,
I have hunted all over the North America, this type of hunting is requires a different approach than in the Woods of Wisconsin, the Plains of Texas, Mountains of Colorado, Montana, etc…
When the deer have all these acres of Milo, Corn, Soy to bed down, its hard to get them to come out during the day. Maybe I’ll have to go out and kick those boys out of the fields.
When you come to Central Kansas be prepared to work for these Trophy’s.
