Gary found a new spot he wanted to use. We spent the early afternoon Saturday setting it up, and I sent Them to a new location about 2 miles from the ranch, to let the area calm down.

This area is a friend of mine’s and he usually does not let deer hunters in. He was trying to help the guys get The One.

The Property has a large pond and creek running through it, we walked it in the afternoon to pick a spot to set up and Gary decided to go out that evening. Unfortunately his relatives were there fishing that evening. The pond has some Monster Bass in it. And It holds some Monster bucks as well.

Gary liked the area and wished he knew of it before.

With the Bucks staying in the fields, Gary requested I Push some Milo fields for him Sunday Morning.

I went to the first field across the Gravel road from the house and pushed it, kicking up the 9 Pointer cuddeback-sept-22-09-053-1024.jpg from the edge of the field, he hopped a few times down the Milo rows and then headed into the SW wind toward the house and back in the creek bed.

Unfortunately the guys were set up in a different location and did not get to see him. DAMN

As I said before, Kansas Farm hunts are not easy, you have to work for them, especially in the early season. The bucks just sit in the fields and stay there until night, unlike the Rut.

Most of the pics I’m getting, they come in around 11:00 pm and head out around 4 am.

Just need to do some Jump shooting, although it’s not easy when you are trying to film at the same time.

Day 7 goes to the Bucks again

Hang in there guys.
