I woke at 4:00 am Monday morning to the Best Light show mother nature can deliver, but along came the Thunder and rain. We ended up getting 3-1/2 inches in 2 hours.
After Gary and I kept up on the radar and the power going out 3 times, Robert was filming the Storm on the radar. I saw an opening.
Around 6:30 we decided to head out. The fields were muddy and ponding all around, Great for Duck Hunting:)
As we were heading out to the stand, the lightning was all around us, Natural light to get to the stand.
The stand Gary selected was right on the Creek bed overlooking 3 main trails and the best creek crossing on the the creek.
Gary has more whitetail knowledge than most people I have seen on TV or hunted with, and I have been hunting for over 35 years. It has been a Pleasure having Gary Corsetti at The Iron Cloud Ranch for the Inaugural Muzzy Hunt.
The umbrellas went up on the trees and we stuck it out, but to no avail.

Producer/videographer was in the open area and got the worst of the rain.
Around 10:00 am we decided to head back to the Ranch, dry our clothes and start a new game plan.
I picked the Hedge tree as our afternoon spot, this area over looks the creek bed and a few fields.
Oh yea, we left some of the equipment, (tripod, chairs) on the other side of the creek, figuring we could pick it up on the way out.
I told Gary
and Robert I would get them and bring them to the new stand, when I went down to the creek bed in my Knee boots, I said SH–, the creek was approx 3′ deeper than before. I told the guys I would have to go all the way around about 2 miles and get the equip.
I then decided to strip to my skivvy’s and cross the creek, get the equip and get back to the stand.
We did not see anything that evening, and after being soaked to the bone in the morning, I started shivering, NW winds at 25 + got to me.. Gary Said Gregg go in. I did.
I can’t wait to see the Video of the storms Robert taped along with the walk out.
The Bucks Win Day 1 as they were back that Night. As Gary Said These guys are Nocturnal.
Trevor has got a Couple of Great Guys. I hope they get The One
