I left the Ranch around 10:00 am Saturday, heading to Wichita to pick up the guys. I met first with Gary Corsetti.
At the Airport we waited for his gun, and while waiting, he noticed his luggage was SOAKING WET. All his clothes got soaked in Atlanta.
Delta Airlines must have left the luggage out during their 4″ rain. I over heard the desk attendant state he told the Pilot that all the luggage was wet>>> Gary tried to dry his clothes on our cars while waiting for Robert to arrive.
Needless to say Gary was not a Happy Camper.
As we were waiting for his gun?????
It did not show.
Gary went to the desk and they told him His Gun was still in Atlanta and would be on the next flight and delivered to the ranch that night(2-1/2 hours away).
They stated it would be on the 5:00 P.M. flight and they would deliver it that night. RIGHT:)
Gary called them many times, Delta stated it arrived in Wichita and they would deliver it around 1:00 to 1:30 am to the ranch.
We made signs and turned all the lights on at the ranch. I woke up at 12:30 AND KEPT LISTENING FOR A CAR. It never arrived.
Gary called Delta in the morning for the 20th time!!!!
Delta stated it would be delivered by 9:00 am.
But we needed to get out and do some video shots. By the way Robert Marshall(Producer)
arrived at 2:30 pm the same day and Delta did not miss place anything of his. (Maybe, things are missing!!!)
The delivery company (LAW Delivery Co) that Delta hired did not want to deliver it early Sunday because the guy was Golfing… Come on!!!! ( so I heard)
Sharen Jumped in to help Gary get his gun as I headed out to show the property to the guys.
Sharen finally talked to the delivery person and convinced them to deliver it. The Gun arrived around 1:30 on Sunday.
Delta be prepared for a call from an Attorney.
The Hunt Opening Day:
After scouting the property we decided which stand we would start with, unfortunately when I woke up to thunder and lightning at 4:00 am opening day, we had to wait it out.
We ended up getting over 3″ of rain in 2 hours. GREAT!!!
The front finally passed and we headed out, Still Dark, at least we were going hunting.
