Sunday afternoon started this 4 day storm, the guys arrived for their gun Hunt for a Monster Buck, but the weather kept the deer bedded down. I was out Sunday Morning with Jeff and Brian, but the winds and cold started the storm. We came in about 10:00 am after the temp dropped about 15 degrees with wind chills close to 0. Nothing was moving.

Jeff took the time to skin and quarter his doe from the day before and we had Venny sandwiches Sat night.

Sunday I took Chris and Mike out to show them the stands and its was sleeting/snowing with NE winds approx 25 mph, Kicked up a couple coveys of Quail and a few Pheasants though.

Monday was no better as it kept snowing, pipes freezing.

Sharen did her best to get water back, but when I got home from work, I shut the water off. The guys did not see anything. Tuesday morning brought approx 5″ of snow with NE winds.winter-wonderland-09-011-1024.jpg

By the end of Tuesday we had over 12″ of snow and today the winds are blowing from the NW at 40-55 mph, drifts approx 6′ high.winter-wonderland-09-005-1024.jpgwinter-wonderland-09-008-1024.jpg

The guys headed back home, but the Hunt should be good for the last few days of gun season ending the 13th.

Stay tuned
