Hubbard, True Green Improved (Cucurbita maxima)
105 days — The vines bear ten to fifteen pound, dark green skinned, golden-fleshed fruit. Great for canning, freezing and is an excellent keeper.

James J. H. Gregory introduced the ‘Hubbard Squash’ to the seed trade. Originally brought to New England from South America or the West Indies, the variety had been grown in Marblehead as early as the 1830s. A neighbor to the Gregory’s, Elizabeth Hubbard (also known as “Marm Hubbard”), recognized the properties of the squash and brought them the seeds saying, “it was the best squash she had ever tasted in her life.”

Enjoy the animals at the ranch, pick your own fresh eggs, assist in the growing and picking of veggies. You can even Cut the lawn if you would like. Build a Fire at night. Look for Indian relics.

Cost for 4 people for 2 nights and 3 days is $500.00( days can be added at additional costs). This is a self guided agritourism vacation, we will give you all the maps needed. has 2 sets of bunk beds with bedding, toilet, shower, refrigerator, microwave, coffe pot. Bring your own food and beverage or visit one of our local eateries.

Hydroponic’s are doing great

We just replanted tomatoes in larger Hydro pots, we also planted more, peppers, cucumbers, egg plants and others. The animals are having a blast. The new seedlings are growing and we are still waiting on fish for the Aquaponic system

The little rams are doing great, its a BLAST to watch them , just released 2 more young’ens out today, what a show from all . Also the Old Massy Harris #44 is running great, could use a 3-point hook-up, and volunteers?
